Union: Services for Mr. Willie Spivey will be held 11 am, Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union with burial in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Rev. Dorsett Buckley will officiate.

Visitation will be held 10 am - 11 am at Milling Funeral Home of Union.

Mr. Spivey, age 88, died Saturday, August 10 at Rush Hospital.

"A limb has fallen from our family tree and his name is Willie D. I know my family and friends will remember that I was the best fisherman they ever did see. Remember my big smile and stay strong because I'm on my way home to rest for a while. Ruth, Bridge, Quinn, Mary and Peter with love.

Survivors:

1 Daughter: Ruth Spivey

2 Grandsons: Deon Spivey and Quincey Spivey

2 Sisters: Bridgette Spivey and Mary Lee

2 Brothers: Andrew Spivey and Quinn Spivey

2 Stepchildren: Peter McNair (Sallie) and Cindy Hunter (Richard)

He was also survived by numerous great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Spivey is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Hattie Spivey and one brother, Robert Lee Spivey.
