UNION: Services for Mr. W.L “Bill” Smith Jr. will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union. Bro. Andrew Black and Bro. Doyle White will officiate the service. Burial will be in the Little Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 a.m., prior to chapel services at Milling Funeral Home in Union. 

Mr. W.L.”Bill” Smith Jr., age 85, passed away July 21, 2026.

Survivors:

1 Grandson: Payton Pierce

2 Sisters: Gwen DuBose and Helen Joe Johnson (David)

Numerous nieces and nephews

Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his wife, Lynn Graham Smith; one son, Jason Smith; one daughter, Lori Atkinson and his parents, William Louis Smith and Helen Smith Lee.

W.L. will be dearly missed by his family. He was a retired Chief Master Sergeant from the 238th Air Special Operations Squadron, of the MS. Air National Guard.  He was also a  Free Mason and Shriner as well as a devoted member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
