William Joseph (Bill) Raymond died suddenly on March 14, 2020. He was born on December 24, 1934. Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph Lionel Emile and Edith Merrill Raymond; his sister, Sally Raymond Kingsley; and John Raymond's wife, Debbie.

Bill is survived by: his wife, Martha Milling Murray Raymond; brother, Robert M. Raymond; sister, Janet Raymond Funaro; six children: William Joseph (Bill) Raymond, Jr. (wife, Kim); Roberta Lynn (Bobbie) Holland (husband, Steve); Norman Lionel (Pete) Raymond (wife, Dawna); John Lee Raymond; Jeannie Raymond; Joanna Raymond Ragan (husband, Petey); 2 step-children: David Lee Murray and Cecilia Sue Murray; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bill was a member and former deacon of Grace Chapel Madison Evangelical Presbyterian Church. He had a strong faith in Jesus Christ. He loved attending worship services on Sunday. Bill enjoyed studying the Bible at Sunday school class, in the men's Bible group during the week, and at home.

Bill was a master craftsman who had retired from the University of MS Medical Center in 2016. He helped many people with their projects even after retiring. Bill was "on the job" the day he died. He will be remembered as friendly, joyful, loving, caring, and compassionate with a big heart.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
