Union: Services for Ms. Shirley Spence Glenn will be held 11:00 am, Friday, July 18, 2025 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union with burial in the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Byron Howell, Bro. Gary Rivers, Bro. T.J. Bates and Bro. Rusty Walton will officiate.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 am to 11:00 am, prior to the service, on Friday, July 18, 2025 at Milling Funeral Home.
Ms. Shirley Glenn, age 89, of the Beulah community, died Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
Survivors:
2 Daughters: Kathy Gressett (Danny) and Karen Lanier (Wayne)
4 Grandchildren: Allison Petty (Tyler), Corey Gressett (McKinley), Jared Lanier (Kristan) and Courtney Bates (T.J.)
5 Great grandchildren: Sawyer Grace Petty, Gavin Lanier, Maci Lanier, Maggie Bates and Zoe Bates
1 Sister: Billie Jean Cleveland
Ms. Glenn is preceded in death by her parents, William Samuel and Macie Spence; her husband of 54 years, William "Bill" Glenn, and her brother, Wilmer Spence.
Ms. Glenn retired from the Mississippi State University Extension Service after 42 years of dedicated service. She was a devoted member of Beulah Baptist Church and the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class. Throughout the years, she served her church in many capacities, including Sunday School Teacher, Church Treasurer, and Nursery attendant.
