Services for Ms. Sarah Louise Horton will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union. Burial will be held in Conehatta Methodist Church Cemetery. Bro. Steve Bufkin will officiate.

Visitation will be held 1:15-2:00 pm prior to the service on Sunday at Milling Funeral Home of Union.

Ms. Sarah Horton, age: 95, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021, where she resided in Meridian.

Survivors:

1 Brother: Kenneth Horton

She is also survived by several nieces and nephews

She is preceded in death by her parents: Marvin and Ida Horton; sisters: Zelda Horton and Helen Rae Horton Johnson; brother: Willie Robin Horton.

Pallbearers: Cole Tadlock, Zane Tadlock, Nathan Tadlock, Louis Horton, Jason Germany, and Andrew Easley

Sarah was born in Conehatta, Miss., to Marvin and Ida Horton.

She graduated high school in Conehatta, Miss.  Afterward, she started a long career with South Central Bell (Bell South/AT&T) in Meridian and Jackson, Miss.; Hollywood, Florida.

Upon retirement, she helped care for her father.  She enjoyed crafts, and embroidered over 25 large pictures that have been framed and shared with other generations in her family. She was an excellent cook; she gifted her cookies, candies, and cakes at Christmas time. She especially treasured her church friends over the years, and loved reading her Bible.
