UNION: Graveside service for Ms. Sara Mae Munn will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Mt. Zion Congregational Methodist Church. Bro. Tod Thompson will officiate.

Ms. Munn, age 96, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2026.

Ms. Sara was very well known in the community for her crocheting. She donated many of her crocheted blankets to the hospitals, nursing homes and children hospitals. She crocheted until her eyes and fingers failed her. Ms. Sara was 95 years old when she had to quit crocheting.

Survivors:

4 Daughters: Joyce Kinloch (Tom) of Union, Marie Harrison (Danny) of Decatur, Mildred Stephens (Freddie) of Union and Faye Vance (Andy) of Union

5 Grandchildren

9 Great- Grandchildren

She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Ms. Sara Mae is preceded in death by her husband, Jack T. Munn; two daughters, Becky Munn Stoeber, Reba Herrington, and one grandson, Alec Stephens.

Pallbearers: Grandsons: Ethan Breland, Adam Vance, Clay Thrash, Alan Dear, Riley Thrash and Tanner Fortenberry
