Union: Services for Ms. Peggy Ann Thornton will be held 2:30 pm, Sunday, September 01, 2024 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union with burial in Sulphur Springs Cemetery. Bro. Rusty Walton and Bro. Joseph Knight will officiate.

Visitation will be held 1 pm - 2:30 pm on Sunday at Milling Funeral Home of Union.

Ms. Thornton, age 70, of Union died Thursday, August 29, 2024.

She will be remembered for her love in taking care of others.

Survivors:

Daughter: Heather Mathis and husband John of Lawrence

Son: Max Dickerson and wife Lindsey of Union

4 Grandchildren: Hanna Hood and husband Gabe of Waynesboro, Treyton Mathis of Lawrence, Raeleigh and Remi Dickerson both of Union

2 Great Grandchildren: Gideon and Laney Hood of Waynesboro

1 Sister: Betty Jo Doss of Newton

She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Ms.Thornton is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Maggie Breland and five brothers, James, Kenny, Ray, Jim and Bobby Breland.
