Many many great-grandchildren

A loving mother and homemaker, Patsy Gainey had a profound love for Douglas Gainey since they met at 15 years old. The two enjoyed 59 years of unrelenting marriage. Patsy was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family, especially over the holidays.  She was very dedicated to her church as well as active in the ladies ministries at the Elton woods Church of God. Throughout her life she flourished in the career of floral design and art, which she claimed to never work a day in her life. This blessed her children with beautiful weddings. Her favorite pass-time was showing her family that she was a great marksman. Not even 5 years ago she was still outshooting all of the men. She spent every extra moment with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she loved so much. Our mother was the type of woman who could fix anything from stains to broken hearts to skinned knees.  She was the most loving, compassionate, and caring Meme that we will miss with all our hearts.

Ms. Patsy is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Gainey.

Pallbearers: Ben Pruitt, Brian Hall, Hunter Gainey, Jeremy Posey, Larry Killens, Russell Bell, Walker Clark and  Will Clark
