Services for Mr. Nolen Sistrunk will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 5, 2020, at Sebastopol Baptist Church . Burial will be held in the Sebastopol City Cemetery. Rev. H.L. Rhodes and Rev. Jay Clark will officiate.
Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 pm, Saturday, January 4, 2020, at Sebastopol Baptist Church. Also, 1:30-2:00 pm prior to services on Sunday at the church.
Survivors: Loving wife of 59 years: Elaine Sistrunk of Sebastopol
2 Daughters: Tammy Bennett of Sebastopol
Karen Moorehead and husband Chad of Sebastopol
5 Grandchildren: Mikaela Mayes and husband Dylan, Peyton Bennett, Keyton Bennett, Haven Moorehead and Hayden Moorehead
1Great-Granddaughter: Brinley Mayes
He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Nolen is preceded in death by his parents: Lavion and Mary Sistrunk; one brother: J.T. Sistrunk.

Nolen, with a single truck in 1959 and a desire to make a good life, created a trucking company that grew to 30 trucks that traversed the nation under his name until his partial retirement in 2009. Even though he retired from the day-to-day business operations, he remained fully invested in the industry until his death.
