Obituary

Nicholas "Nick" Ryan Brown was called to his heavenly home on March 12. He was born November 12, 1978.  He lived in Union, MS.

Nick spent his earlier years in Newborn, GA where he attended school through the 8th grade. While in Newborn, he played football. He later moved to Sebastopol, MS and attended Sebastopol High School where he played football and baseball. He graduated from Sebastopol High in 1997.

Nick joined the United States Navy and served on the USS Carl Vinson out of Bremerton, WA from 1998-2005. He was deployed to the Persian Gulf and fought in 9.11.2001 Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Desert Shield, and Global War on Terrorism.

Nick returned to Union, MS and attended East Central Junior College in Decatur, MS and completed a Technical Certificate in Plumbing and HVAC technology.  Nick worked with Service Company in Meridian, MS for several years before joining Environment Masters in Jackson, MS until last year when he was transferred to Environment Masters in Meridian.

Nick's joys in life when he was young was helping Papaw Ed cut grass, playing football with his Aunt Margie, working at the Piggly Wiggly, whitewater rafting with his Uncle Jimmy, and playing football for his Uncle Charlie at Sebastopol High. And as he grew older his joys became the times he spent making special memories with his daughters, Jaryn and Dallas, his wife, Melissa, and with his forever brotherhood of Navy shipmates: Tony Freschi, Scott Owen, Joshua Washburn, Luke Maxey, Michael Preuss, and Edward Scivolleti.

Nick was preceded in death by his grandparents Henry and Beatrice Brown and Ed and Dot Ogletree, and cousin Celee Brown Vickers.

Nick is survived by his wife of 14 years, Melissa Kron Brown.
