Memorial Services for Ms. Maxie Louetta Moore Walters will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Sebastopol.
Visitation will be held from 1:00p.m.-2:00p.m. prior to services at Milling Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Lee Ayers will be officiating the service.
On Tuesday, January 17, 2023, Maxie Louetta Walters stepped from this world into Glory.
She was born on December 25, 1930, to Lee and Bertha Moore in Little Rock, Mississippi and was the youngest of four sisters.
Louie married WD (Dub) Walters on March 29, 1952. They were married 46 years and have 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Louie also has a large extended family in Mississippi whom she loved dearly.
She is survived by sisters, Mary Ellen Holyfield and Ruby Loretta Walters; sister-in-law, Sue Ann Walker; children WD Walters, Jr. (Regenia), Denecia Lee Brooks (Tony) and Valorie Mae Wheat; grandchildren, Katie lee Cash(Jason), William Darrell Walters (Amanda), Jonathan Lee Walters (Nicole), Barrett Allen Wheat, Mallie Elizabeth Berry (Chad), Christina Lynn Harrison (Mike), Anna May Lewis (Daniel), Jarrod Cole Wheat (Ashley); and 18 great-grandchildren.
Ms. Maxie Walters is preceded in death by her husband: WD Walters, Sr., parents: William Lee and Bertha Mae Moore, sister: Lily Loreen Nicholson, and son-in-law: Joe Allen Wheat.
Louie will be laid to rest at Sebastopol Cemetery in Sebastopol, Mississippi.
Louie strongly encouraged missions throughout her life by supporting her children, grandchildren, and other family members who served around the world. At the young age of 83, Louie took her own mission trip to Sao Palo, Brazil.
In lieu of flowers, family asks that donations are made to the mission fund at your church or favorite mission organization.
