Union: Funeral services for Ms. Mary June Gordon will be held at 3:00pm, Friday, August 18, 2023 at 1:30-3:00pm with funeral services immediately following in the Milling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held at Rock Branch Baptist Church Cemetery-1669 MS 494 Union, MS 39365.
Milling Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements. Brother Todd Harrison and Brother Billy Martin will officiate. Special music by Renee Davis from First Methodist Protestant Church of Newton, MS.
Mary June Gordon of Collinsville, MS passed away at John C. Stennis Hospital on Hospice Care in Dekalb on Wednesday evening, August 16, 2023. Ms. Gordon is preceded in death by her husband, Luther Doyle Gordon, parents, J.B. Williams and Janie Bentley Williams of Hickory, MS, her sister, Dale Williams Stampley, and her brother Don Williams.
Ms. Gordon, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was born on September 30, 1945 and lived to celebrate her 77th birthday.
She has three children: Jeffery Scott Gordon and his wife, Tiffany of Collinsville, MS, Walter Gordon and his wife Lisa of Newton, MS, and Sherry Bice and her husband Andrew of Oregon.
Having been blessed by her grandchildren: Jacob Gordon of Grand Canyon Village, AZ, Julianna Gordon of Collinsville, MS, Cody Gordon of Decatur, MS, Hailey Copeland (Steven) of Philadelphia, MS, Clint Walker of Newton, MS, Jessica Waite (Ryan) of Houston, TX, Christina Taylor (Mitch) of Abilene, TX, and Steven Bice of Huntsville, AL.
Also having been blessed by her great-grandchildren: Caleb, Jacey, and Kolby Clifford, Chase Waite of Houston, TX, Tristan Murphrey and Gunner Taylor, both of Abilene, TX, and Callie Ann and Emerie Bice of Huntsville, AL.
She is also survived by her cousins, niece- Leann Stampley Allen, nephews- James Stampley, and Cy, Charles, & Wayne Williams, and special friend- Amanda & Dalton McKee and Ron & Delora Davis.
Ms. Gordon was a beloved member of First Methodist Protestant Church of Newton, MS. She was retired from Metro Ambulance in Meridian, MS and retired co-owner of Newton Ambulance Service in Newton, MS. She graduated from Hickory High School, and received her EMT license from East Central Community College. In her younger years, she loved to fish and work in her flowers. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also used to love taking road trips with her husband, Doyle.
