Sebastopol: Services for Ms. Martha Lou Goss Bradford will be held Thursday, August 07 at 4:00 p.m. at Milling Home Of Sebastopol. Burial will be held  at Damascus Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2:30-4:00 p.m. prior to services.

Martha was born September 24, 1943 to her parents, Garfeild and Rose Pace near Bald Knob, Arkansas and grew up surrounded by her large family. She is remembered by her nieces, nephews and brother as the "leader of the pack." She passed away on August 2nd, surrounded by family and friends after an extended battle with Dementia and Breast Cancer. She met her husband Kendall in Indiana while both families were there working. They married on Christmas Eve in 1960 in Arkansas and they later moved to Mississippi. Their only child, Donna Marie was born in
October 1961. They made their home near Sebastopol where they farmed and raised cattle. They both enjoyed raising bottle calves. Martha retired from the USDA after working many years as a poultry inspector. She was an excellent cook and loved cooking for family and friends. She was in the restaurant business for many years and will be remembered for her famous "fried pies". It was a hard choice between apple, peach or chocolate.

Martha and Kendall were overjoyed to be grandparents to Robbyn, Jordan and Tara. "Nannie" made everything fun and loved to spoil them. Santa not only made stops at their home, but he also delivered lots of gifts to "Nannie's House." The word "NO" was not part of her vocabulary when it came to the grandkids and anything they wanted.

Kendall and Martha were active members of Golden Grove Church of God in the Damascus Community and also visited Crossroads Church of God through the years. Kendall passed away in 2002 from cancer. Martha later married a long-time friend of the family, Edward Bradford, who had also lost his wife to cancer. They enjoyed gardening and spending time with family until his passing.

Sadly, Mama began having signs of mental decline and was diagnosed with Dementia. Over the past 2-3 years, this illness had taken a toll on her both mentally and physically. There were times that we could see her and recognize our "mama" and "nannie" but most of the time we felt as if her life had been stolen from us. We recognized her face as our loved one and the wonderful person she was but this horrible disease had control of her thoughts and her words. She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in November of last year.

Mama never lost her sass and hung on to her independence. She never let us forget who was in charge and who was boss. We will cherish the good memories and pass those to the next generation. The great grand-children: Kyndall, Karoline, Henry, Heidi, Hollis, Harvee, Coyt, and Mary Clayton will be reminded of her often and we will all laugh as we remember. Nannie will be forever in our heart.

Ms. Martha Goss Bradford is preceded in death by parents, Garfeild and Rose Pace.
