UNION: Ms. Linda Sue Baskin, age 74, of Decatur, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Milling Funeral Home of Union. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton. Following the graveside service, a celebration of life service will be held at 12:30 p.m. at First Assembly Meridian (Our FAM). Pastor Joe Robbins, Pastor Bob Null and Pastor David Chandler will officiate.

Linda Sue Baskin was a loving wife, mother, and devoted Christian whose faith guided her life. She has now been joyfully reunited with her husband, James O. Baskin, just in time to celebrate their wedding anniversary together once again.

She is survived by:
Daughter: Stephanie Baskin
Mother-in-law: Lula Mae Baskin
Sister-in-law: Brenda Gail Maese
Brother-in-law: Howard Marcell Baskin (Dian)

Ms. Baskin is also survived by her niece, Cheryl Butler and lifelong friend, Melissa Tucker (Joseph), both of whom she considered to be daughters; her loving caretaker, Cindy Smith; lifelong friend, Marsha Sellers, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James O. Baskin; parents, Hugh C. Oliver and Erie Scott Oliver, as well as her siblings, Lena Butler, Sadie Hall, Juanita Hattaway, Essie Faye Oliver, Daniel Wayne Oliver, Bob Oliver, Fred Oliver, Herbert Oliver, D.L. Oliver, Lee Phaben Oliver and Hugh Oliver.
