Obituary

Union:  Services for Mrs. Laura Lindsey Milling of Meridian will be 7 pm, Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Milling Funeral Home of Union. A private burial will be held at Lucern Church of God at a later date. Bro. Rusty Walton will officiate.

Visitation will be held 5:30-7:00 at Milling Funeral Home prior to the service.

Mrs. Milling, 57, of Union died Friday, September 06, 2024 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.

Survivors:

Husband: Mark Milling of Meridian

2 Daughters: Carly Milling and Claire Milling Clanton (Tanner)

1 Son: Cole Milling (Makayla)

Grandchildren: Bennett Clanton, Ellis Clanton and 1 grand daughter, Macie Milling due in December of 2024

2 Sisters: Leah Thomson and Lori White

She is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Mitzie Lindsey.

Pallbearers: Cole Milling, Tanner Clanton, Jay Germany, Brandon Goza, Steve Milling, Graham Clark, Marcus Hunnicut and Matt Singley

Laura Lindsey Milling, known affectionately as Lala, was born on November 18, 1966, in Fulton, MS, Laura spent her life bringing joy and warmth to everyone she encountered. She resided in Meridian, MS for over 30 years.

Laura graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1988 with a social work degree which she used for many years to serve her community. Laura was also dedicated mother and grandmother, cherishing her time with her children, as well as her two beloved grandsons. Her proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly her role as a grandmother, a title she wore with immense pride. She looked forward to meeting her first granddaughter this December.

Laura was known for her innate ability to make anyone feel like the most important person in the room. Her caring nature extended to everyone around her, and she found immense joy in helping others. Laura's warmth and kindness endeared her to many, as she easily made friends wherever she went.

Laura's faith was a guiding light in her life, and she leaves behind a community that was touched by her spirit.

Laura's memory will be cherished by all who knew her as a bright light in their lives.
