Graveside services for Mr. Kris Underwood will be held at 2:15 pm, Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Sebastopol City Cemetery. Bro. Jim Methany will officiate.

Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00-2:00 pm at Milling Funeral Home in Sebastopol.

Kris Wylam Underwood, 58, passed peacefully at Merit Central Health in Jackson, MS November 4 ^th , 2020. He was born in Courtland, NY April 20 ^th , 1962, the son of Billy Thomas Underwood and Mary Lee (Loper) Underwood.

Kris graduated Mississippi State University with a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology which he used in a successful career in Archeology. After graduation he married Tonya (Anthony) Underwood. They celebrated 29 years of marriage and had two children Torey Underwood and Dalton Underwood. He was an avid Nascar fan and never missed a race even through his hard battle with chronic pancreatitis. Kris had a passion for history, and the outdoors which he instilled lovingly in his children and family through many fishing and hunting trips. He later went on to purchase and manage a Discount Tobacco in Sebastopol, MS and thoroughly enjoyed working with the public and made it a point to make each and every customer feel welcome. On April 29th, 2018, he welcomed a granddaughter, Cheyenne Brielle Nickless, into the family, whom he adored and doted on happily.

Kris was survived by his wife, children, mother and stepfather (Venna Trepasso), granddaughter, three nephews (Tripp and Trace Anthony, and Samuel Underwood), and five nieces (Aleese and Jordan Loper, and Vivian, Lindsay, and Julia Underwood). He was predeceased by his father.
