Services for Mr. John Ander Spears will be held 11 am, Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Milling Funeral Home of Sebastopol with burial in the High Hill Cemetery. Bro. Don Cook and Bro. Ricky Boler will officiate.

Visitation will be held 5-8 pm, Monday, August 5, 2019 at the funeral home.

Mr. Spears, 85, of Union, Died on August 4, 2019.

3 Daughters: Kathy O'neal and husband Chuck of Sebastopol

Lisa Graham and husband Jeff of Sebastopol

Susan Thrash and husband Danny of Sebastopol

6 Grandchildren

20 Great-grandchildren

2 Great-great grandchildren

1 Sister: Linda Sue Roundtree of Philadelphia

Special brother-in-law: Sandy Mowdy of Sebastopol

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Spears was preceded in death by his wife: Ruthie Spears; father: Thomas Ander Spears; mother: Beulah Spears Tucker; one brother: Lain Spears; two sister: Lavonia Gunter and Louise Watkins.

He served in the United States Army from December 1956- December 1962.

After the Army, he made a career in Poultry Farming. He spent 23 years in the shipping department at US Motors.

Mr. Spears was a lifetime member of High Hill Baptist Church and very instrumental in organizing the Dixon Fire Department.
