Union: Visitation for Mr. John Collins of Union will be held 12 pm - 2 pm, Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Milling Funeral Home of Union.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 pm, Saturday at Sharon Cemetery in Laurel, Ms.

John A. Collins, 81, of the Sharon Community passed away Monday, August 29, 2022, at Hilltop Nursing Home. He was retired from Howard Industries after 50+ years and preceded in death by his father, mother and brother, James M. Collins. He was beloved by those who knew him and will surely be missed by many more.

Mr. John leaves behind a host of friends whom he knew and loved as family.

"Gone, but not Forgotten"

Don't think of John as gone away

His journey's just begun,

Life holds so many facets

This Earth is only one.

Just think of John as resting

From the sorrows and the tears

In a place of warmth and comfort

Where there are no days and years.

Think how John must be wishing

That we could know today

How nothing but our sadness

Can really pass away.

And think of John as living

In the hearts of those he touched

For nothing loved is ever lost

And he was loved so much.
