Union: Services for Mr. Jerry C. Winstead will be held 3 pm, Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union with burial in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in the House Community. Bro. Jackie Strebeck and Bro. Rusty Walton will officiate.
Visitation will be held 1 pm to 3 pm Saturday at Milling Funeral Home in Union.
Mr. Winstead, age 81, died Wednesday, May, 28, 2025 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Philadelphia, MS to James C. and Lorene Winstead. He was a 1963 graduate of Neshoba County High School. He was a member of men's varsity basketball team, later dubbed "The Dream Team". He was employed at U.S. Motors and General Motors spanning over40 years. He worked at plants in Meridian, MS, Decatur, AL, and the Corvette plant in Bowling Green, KY, where he eventually retired. Jerry was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in House Community.

3 Daughters: Vanessa Winstead, Janet Madison (Barry), and Laura Herrington (Vince)
9 Grandchildren: Eric Ellinburg (Sable), Kory Fortenberry, Ian Fortenberry, Natalie Fortenberry, Katy Bateman (Stevens), Mallory Hamilton (Webb), Harrison Thomas (Anne Claire), Noah Madison, and Judd Young (Meghan)

Mr. Winstead was preceded in death by his parents, James C. Winstead and Lorene Winstead; his great granddaughter, Hailey Renee Ellinburg and his brother, Jimmy Winstead
Pallbearers: Eric Ellinburg, Gabe Ellinburg, Harrison Thomas, Noah Madison, Judd Young, and Ian Fortenberry
