UNION: A Celebration of Life for Mr. James M. Murphy will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, November 4, 2022 at Pine Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be held in the Church Cemetery. Bro. Tyler Tingle, Bro. Rusty Walton, and Bro. Albert Reid will be officiating.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00pm, Friday, prior to Memorial Service.

Mr. James Murphy, age 90 of House, passed away on October 30, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. James Murphy lived a long and joyous life. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, sibling, and friend. He was a long time member of the Redeemer Baptist Church. Mr. Murphy was a man of many talents and during his life, he had many jobs. He was a bricklayer, the President of the Pearl River Basin Development District from 1999 to 2004, and owned his own company called, "Murphy's Custom Wood". Mr. Murphy was proud to call himself a Veteran. He served as the 198 ^th Tank Battalion Commander, during his time in the military and was also a Captain for the Mississippi National Guard. Mr. James Murphy loved spending time with his friends and family. He also had many hobbies such as, being an artist in his spare time, playing his banjo and fiddle, and a crappie fisherman. Mr. Murphy was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

Mr. James Murphy is preceded in death by his parents: Nellie Smith Murphy & Lee Gaston Murphy, one Sister: Charlotte Lundy, and one Brother: Clearman Murphy.
