Union: Memorial services for Mr. James Russell, Jr. will be held 5 pm, Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Pine Grove Baptist Church. Bro. Rusty Walton and Bro. Charles Warren will officiate.

Visitation will be held 4 pm - 5 pm, Thursday at Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Mr. Russell, age 57, died Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Ochsner Laird Hospital.

He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. He will be remembered as the "Mater" Man of the community.

James had a strong love for his wife and "Babies".

Daughter: Olivia Lloyd (Justin)

10 Grandchildren

Sister: Libby Putnam, Linda Fay Holton (Micheal) and Betty Ann Mayes

Brother: Gene Smith

Aunt: Cindy Collins

Special Cousin: Renee Bozeman

He was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his son, Dusty Russell; mother, Irene Smith; father, James H Russell, Sr; sister, Patricia Ward; maternal grandparents, Leroy and Merlene Hogue; paternal grandparents, Jody and Eunice Russell and numerous aunts and uncles.
