Hubert Lovone Killens, 81, of Union passed away on February 13, 2020, in Jackson at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Hubert was born October 19, 1938, in Madden, MS to the late Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Killens. While attending Union High School, Hubert was a standout football player, and in 1958, he was chosen to play in the Mississippi High School All Star game. Upon graduation, Hubert furthered his football career at East Central Community College. Shortly after, he married the love of his life, Priscilla Gray from Philadelphia, MS, and shared 61 years of marriage before her recent death in October of 2019. Hubert and Priscilla stood side by side as they pursued career opportunities in the new car dealer business. Together, they worked to build two successful businesses—Killens Chevrolet Oldsmobile Pontiac in Newton and Killens Motors in Forest. They enjoyed working closely with one another and loved to serve others, especially their beloved employees. Hubert and Priscilla enjoyed a full life of travel and most of all, joining the Mississippi Travelers to motorhome and fellowship with friends. Hubert was a true patriarch of his family, loving and supporting them in every facet of their lives, including children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. The love Hubert had for his family was truly profound with every action he took to care for them.

Hubert is survived by his sister Iva Nell Green of Union; son Mark of Union; daughter Monica (Alan) Massey of Madison; grandchildren Jacob (Courtland) Massey of Amory; Rebecca (Kyle) Stanford of Robertsdale, AL; and great-granddaughter Priscilla Lane Stanford. Prsicilla Lane was lovingly named after her great grandmother the late Priscilla Killens.

Hubert will be greatly missed by family and friends, as he was certainly the highlight of wherever he was.
