UNION:

Mr. Herchel Grimes 86,  of Newton, MS passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024. He was born on February 14, 1938  in Carthage, MS. At the age of 20, he moved to Long Island, NY where he worked as a steamfitter for 40 years. He also  worked abroad for one year.

After retiring, Mr. Herchel moved back  to MS where he enjoyed golfing, fishing, dancing and keeping his house & yard immaculate.

He is survived by a special nephew, Carl Grimes and wife Wanda, several nieces & nephews, a very special friend, Gatha George, and many friends (including two fur-babies-Lucy & Toby).

Services for Mr. Herchel will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Milling Funeral  Home in Union, MS.

Visitation will be 11 am -1 pm at Milling (preceding the service).

Bro. Ryan Cozart will  officiate.

Burial will be at Pine Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery in Newton, MS.

Milling Funeral Home of Union is in charge of all arrangements.
