UNION: Funeral Services for Mr. Henry Michael “Mike” Clay will be held at 2:00 Wednesday July 22, 2026, at Pine Grove Baptist Church in the House Community. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:30-2:00 at the Church. Bro. Rusty Walton and Bro. BB Barwick will officiate.

Mr. Clay passed away July 13, 2026, just one day after his 84th birthday.

Survivors include:

1 Son: Tony Clay

1 Daughter: Cheryl Welch (George)

Numerous Grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren

1 Sister: Judy Harrison (Roman)

7 Stepchildren

Mr. Clay was preceded in death by his wife, Jenny Clay; one daughter, Pam Lawson; one great granddaughter, Grace Diane Bartlett; parents, Shorty and Dephia Clay and one infant brother, Willie O’Neal Clay.

Honorary Pallbearers: Roman Harrison, Tim Harrison, David Lawson

Mike retired from La-Z-Boy after a work span of over 54 years. Mike had a love for sports and youth, which led him to officiate High School Football for over 45 years and High School Basketball for over 25 years. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where he faithfully attended until his health did not allow.

Mike will be remembered as a loving and selfless person who always thought of others before himself. He will be greatly missed.
