Services for Ms. Frances Helen Graham Edwards will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, December 18, 2020 at Milling Funeral Home of Union. Burial will held at Poplar Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mark Ingram officiating.

Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service on Friday at Milling Funeral Home of Union.

Ms. Frances Helen Graham Edwards, age 94, passed away on December 13, 2020, at the Choctaw Residential Center in Philadelphia, Mississippi.

2 Daughters: Sara Arlene Mayes (Gerald) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Grandchildren:  David Mayes (Chae), Michael Mayes (Juliana), Katie McGee Salgado (Alejandro), and Kristin McGee;

5 Great-Grandchildren

3 Nieces;

2 Nephews

Her dearly loved cat family.

Ms. Frances is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Franklin O'Neal Edwards; her eight siblings: Willie Graham, of Decatur ,Marian Thornton, of Decatur, Edith Neal, of Union, Leonard Graham, of Meridian, Dorothy Davidson, of Meridian, Roger Graham, of Noonan, Georgia, Roy Graham, of Midland, Georgia; and Eva Mae Bombace, of Metairie, Louisiana.

Honorary Pall Bearers: Phil Waltman, and David Cochran.

She was born on October 4, 1926, in Conehatta, Mississippi, to James Garrison Graham and Elvie Bryant Graham.

Frances was a life-long resident of Conehatta, Mississippi. Her life is a living example of Romans 12:13 – "When God's people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality." She will be remembered as a kind, generous, hard-working person, always willing to help others in need. During her life, she was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, homemaker, factory worker, farmer, nurse's aide, and ward clerk, having retired with twenty-nine years of service at Laird Hospital.

The family requests that memorial gifts may be made to Poplar Baptist Church, the Poplar Baptist Cemetery Fund, any organization which feeds and houses the homeless, or any pet rescue organization.
