UNION: Services for Mr. Edward Linden Allen will be held 12 pm, Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union with burial in Erin Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Bro. Scott Engle and Bro. Luke Way will officiate.

Visitation will be held 11 am- 12 pm before the service on Wednesday at Milling Funeral Home of Union.

Edward Linden Allen, 71, passed away at home on Sunday, June 21, 2026. He was born in Middletown, Ohio, on January 20, 1955, to Nelda and Edward Allen. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served as an aviation mechanic for seven years. He settled in the Meridian area and worked as a law enforcement officer in the Mississippi State Tax Commission and later rejoined the Navy as a gas turbine systems technician for four years. He eventually settled in Mississippi permanently, where he worked as a security officer at Pearl River Resort for twenty years. In his younger days, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and throughout his life, he was known for his faith, storytelling, good humor, and the immense love he had for his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Nelda Allen; his grandparents; and his stepson Bobby Sullivan. He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Lois Allen; his sons, Edward L. Allen III (Emily) and Jason Allen; his stepsons Sammy Sullivan (Paula) and Rusty Sullivan; his brother, Roger Allen (Sherry); ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many friends. He will be deeply missed.
