Obituary

Dwayne Breedlove, 74, of Kosciusko, Miss., passed away Monday, Sept. 18, 2023 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 21 at Milling Funeral Home in Sebastopol, followed by the funeral at 11 and graveside at Mount Bethel Cemetery in Dixon (Neshoba County). Rev. Lane Townsend will officiate.

Mr. Breedlove was born May 25, 1949, in Madden, Miss. He entered the United States Marine Corps at the age of 19 and honorably served in the Vietnam War and worked as a truck driver for many years. He was a loyal friend, loved most of his family, loved reading (mostly westerns) and fishing. He loved being a "Papaw" to the many children in the family.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Lodena Breedlove; sister, Peggy Breedlove Barnes; brother, Johnny Glen Breedlove; granddaughter, Ava Eliot Thornton; and granddaughter-in-law, Kristen Lindsey Kittrell.

Survivors include his children, Julie Breedlove-Thornton (former son-in-law Mark), James "Jim" Breedlove, Amanda Breedlove Kittrell (Mack) and Mary Ann Breedlove Riley (Wesley); grandchildren, Annelise Thornton, Bryan Kittrell (Katlin), Jason Kittrell (Kayla), Hunter Kittrell (Kristen, deceased), Katie Kittrell and Audrey Riley; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Kittrell, Jason Kittrell, Hunter Kittrell, Nate Kittrell, Cody Harrell and Eric McElhenney.

Honorary pallbearers are Mark Thornton, Jackie "Mickey" Harrell and Jason Harrell.
