Donald Wolverton

UNION: Services for Donald Wolverton will be held 2 pm, Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union with burial in the Bethsaida Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Rusty Walton will officiate.

There will be no graveside service.

Visitation will be held 1 pm – 2 pm, Saturday at Milling Funeral Home of Union.

Donald, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at J.G. Alexander Nursing Center. He graduated from Union High School in 1954 as Salutatorian.

He married Mildred Bates on December 21, 1956. They made their home in Hattiesburg, where he worked for Sanderson Farms, retiring as Hatchery Manager in Collins.

Donald and his wife served as active members of Parkway Heights Methodist Church as long as their health allowed them.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred; parents, Marvin and Grace Chamblee Wolverton; brothers, Billy Wolverton, Harold Wolverton, Paul Wolverton and sister, Lanette Ezelle.

Donald is survived by his brother, Eddie Wolverton (Jane) and sister, Mary Wolverton Lang; his brother-in-law, Ray Ezelle and wife Bobbie; sister-in-law, Rachel Wolverton, as well as many nieces and nephews.
