UNION: Services for Mr. Chester Lee Duett, Jr will be held 3:30 pm, Wednesday, March 05, 2025 at Hopewell Baptist Church with burial in the Church cemetery. Rev. Andrew Black and Rev. Rusty Walton will officiate.

Visitation will be held 2:30 pm – 3: 30 pm, Wednesday at Hopewell Baptist Church.

Mr. Duett, Jr, 80, of Little Rock died Sunday, March 02, 2025.

Chester Lee Duett, Jr was a graduate of Decatur High School in 1964. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Beulah Hubbard Baseball Association. He worked 40 years with the railroad (Illinois Central, Illinois Central Gulf and Kansas City Southern, all out of Meridian).

He was a hard worker at work and at home. He loved working in the garden and around the house.

He loved his family and enjoyed life greatly. He was a soft spoken but firm when needed.

He truly loved and served God in his own way with his whole heart.

1 Sister: Jane Duett Wolverton (Eddie)

6 Grandchildren: Callie Benton (Steven), Gillis Duett, Elijah Riley (Reagan), Maci Monk (Tyler), Jennifer Perkins (Zach) and Johnny Hatch (Lauren)

Mr. Duett is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Duett is preceded in death by his wife, Gayle Duett; son, Chester  "Chet" Duett, III; one grandson, Chester Lee Duett, IV and his parents, Chester Lee ,Sr and Macie Duett and in laws, Alvis "Monkey" and Carlene Graham.
