Obituary

Sebastopol: Services for Ms. Dilfey C. Green will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday , April 03, 2024at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Sebastopol.  Burial will be held at High Hill Baptist Church. Bro. Brett Cooper and  Bro. Dewayne Dickerson will officiate.

Visitation will be 9:30-11:00 a.m. prior to services at Milling Funeral Home of Sebastopol.

Mrs. Dilfey Cecile Green, 90, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Neshoba General Nursing Home.

On July 06,1953, Ms. Cecile married Bobby Joe Green. In the earlier years of marriage, she started working in a garment factory as a sewing machine operator. She continued to work there for 20 years. After retiring from there, she became a babysitter in her home. Ms. Cecile loved all of "her kids" dearly.

When she was no longer babysitting she pursued her passion for quilting. She spent many years enjoying that hobby.

A while later she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. After enduring the surgery she never quilted again. Ms. Cecile survived Breast Cancer, she was a fighter. She will be remembered for the strength she showed during this trying time.

She is survived by one son: Bobby Green (Annette) of Conehatta, two daughters: Karen Davidson (Dewain) of Lucedale MS., and Dawn Cumberland (Lonnie) of Preston MS..

She had four grandchildren: Joe Green (Carrie) of Brandon, Sydney Tucker ( Nikki) of Union, Alan Davidson ( Julie) of Pensacola FL., and Adrian Tucker of Union. Eight great-grandchildren: Preston Green, Reagan Green, Ava Tucker,Ryleigh Tucker, Charlie Tucker, Cameron Davidson, Olivia Davidson, and Blake Pitts.

She is also survived by two sisters: Margie Comansof Forest and Onie Babb(Dolan) of Lena.

Ms. Green also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and longtime friends.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years: Bobby Joe Green, her parents, four sisters, and five brothers.

The family is deeply grateful for the loving care she received from all her care takers while still at home. They include Adrian Tucker, Gaynell Countryman, and Connie Comans. These people will always be a part of our family and hearts.

A big thanks to Neshoba General Nursing Home Staff, and the caring ladies at  Quality  Hospice. The family will always remember the compassion and professionalism of all of these special people.

Dusty Comans, Grant Comans , and Tyler Comans will lead the Music at the service.

Pallbearers: Joe Green, Sydney Tucker, Alan Davidson, Adrian Tucker, Preston Green, Dwight Sistrunk, and Tyler Comans.
