Union: Private family graveside service for Mr. Billie Joe Matlock will be held at Monday, March 30, 2020 at Greenland Baptist Church Cemetery.

Billie Joe Matlock, 82, of Little Rock, MS passed away March 27, 2020 in his home in the presence of family.

He was born October 4, 1937. He was a native of Newton County and a member of Antioch Baptist Church.  He was a US Army veteran, welder, millwright, and truck driver. He was a Godly man of few words, never complained, and always ready to lend a helping hand.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years: Ruth G. Matlock

Son: Joe Matlock Jr of Carrollton, Al

Daughters: Elinda Hagan (David Williams) of  Clearwater, FL

Pam Edwards (Jimmy) of Union

Jennifer Dorman (Chuck) of Gulf Breeze, FL

Sisters: Dot Williamson (SA) of Flora

Nita Humphreys (Ben) of Little Rock

a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Matlock was preceded in death by parents Otho and Madeline Matlock, brothers Willie Matlock, Johnny Matlock, and Gerald Matlock, and son John Winstead.
