Obituary

Sebastopol: Services for Ms. Barbara Killen will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Golden Grove Church. Burial will be held in Church Cemetery. Bro. Jason Price will be officiating.

Visitation will be held from 12:30-2:00pm, prior to Church services at Golden Grove.

Ms. Killen, age 74, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022.

She was born in Madden Ms. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She worked 25 years at St. Dominic Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist.  She took great pride in working and kept an incredible work ethic through her life until her health would no longer allow it.
She loved her family fiercely and made sure everyone knew that.
She cherished her little dog, Poot, who passed a few short months before her.
Ms. Killen would frequently recite John Chapter 14 to her family so we know she is with the Lord finally healed by his loving hands.

2 Daughters: Susan Sapp (Thomas) of Pearl

Deborah Musgrove of Florence

3 Grandchildren: Brandy McGrew (Eric), James Musgrove (Chelsea), and Craig Musgrove (Amy)

7 Great-Grandchildren: William Deskin, Charleigh Musgrove, Raeleigh Musgrove, Saylor Musgrove, Layla McCurdy, Brayden McCurdy, and Brylie McCurdy

1 Brother: Sandy Mowdy of Sebastopol

Ms. Barbara Killen is preceded in death by her mother: Lois Sanders, Father: Herbert Mowdy, Sister: Thelma Sistrunk, Bro-in-Law: Mack Sistrunk, and Sister-in-Law, Faye Mowdy.

Pallbearers: Eric Neely, Craig Musgrove, James Musgrove, Thomas Sapp, Wyatt Gomillion, and Michael Sistrunk

The family would like to send thanks to Lakeland Nursing and Rehab in Jackson for providing care to Ms. Killen in her last few years. Special thanks to Nurse Lacy who worked at the facility and  provided outstanding selfless care to Ms. Killen.
