Union: Services for Mrs. Barbara Shelton Harrison of Union will be held 11 am, Monday, April 07 at First Baptist Church of Union with burial in the Union City Cemetery. Dr. Jon Martin and Rev. Denny Couturie' will officiate.
Visitation will be held Sunday, 5-8 pm, at Milling Funeral Home of Union and also Monday, 9 -11 am at First Baptist Church of Union.
Mrs. Harrison, age 77, died on Thursday, April 3, 2025.
A 1965 graduate of Union Hight School, Barbara Shelton Harrison began her working career at Midland Shirt Company, Occupying various roles over a 30 year career. She then moved to Spaceway Oil Company where she was a valued member of the office team. From 2000 to 2020 she was office manger for Dr. Nicole F. Harrison Family dentistry. She retired at age 72.
Ms. Harrison was an active member of First Baptist Church Union, where she was a member of the choir. For years she was a key supporter of Union High School Athletics. She was also a devoted supporter of Mississippi State University Athletics- especially the Women's Basketball Team.
Barbara Harrison known as "Nena" to her grandchildren and many others, cherished her family and her friends and was a constant loving presence in their lives

Margaret Driskell and husband Larry Driskell
2 Brothers:
Mack Shelton, Jr and wife Gail Shelton, and
James "Bo" Shelton and wife Carolyn Shelton
1 Brother in Law:
Mickey Harrison and wife Janet Harrison
She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Mrs. Harrison is preceded in death by her husband, Mike Harrison; parents, Mack and Mary Shelton, sister, Gwen Shelton; sister in law, Melissa Prather, and father and mother-in-law, Leon and Margaret Harrison.
Pallbearers: Michael Graham, Jeff Shelton, Scott Driskell, Alan Lancaster, Mickey Harrison and Jacob Moore
