Anita
Lovett
d. Dec 7, 2025
Union
A memorial service for Ms. Anita Lovett will be held at a later date. Her family requests that finiancial donations be made to Milling Funeral Home to go towards funeral expenses.
Anita was born at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS on July 25, 1960. She's preceded in death by her parents Erbie Dee Moore and Gertie Moore Blackmon. She's also preceded in death by her sister, Patsy Moore Veazey, along with a host of extended family members.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, James Lovett and daughter Heather Lovett; grand children Makayla and AJ Plum; brother Eddie (Angie) Moore with nephews Hayden (Brielle) Moore, Landon Moore, and Tanner Moore; brother in law John Veazey; niece Haley (Tyler) Brown with great nephews Brodee, Brady, and Cody Burnham.
Growing up, her time was spent helping her family with their meat processing business in Pearl, following her parents to their infamous bluegrass festivals, and spending time "on the hill" in Carthage.
Anita was a 1978 graduate of Pearl High School. She spent her professional years as a nursing assistant in long term care facilities providing personal care for the elderly. Caring for the elderly is truly a calling she took pride in.
Perhaps her biggest calling in life was her devotion to her family. She was a wonderful wife, loving mother, and the best Mamaw her grand-babies could ask for. Her family affectionately referred to her as "Ninky", and always looked forward to her contagious smile, witty humor, and infamous M&M cookies this time of year. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
