Sebastopol: Services for Mr. Alvie Barber will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Rocky Hill Church of God. Burial will be held in the Church Cemetery. Bro. Brett Cooper and Bro. Guy McGarrity will officiate.

Visitation will be held from 3:00-4:00pm, prior to services at Rocky Hill Church of God.

Mr. Alvie Barber, age 90, was born on September 15, 1933 and joined his wife in Heaven on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. He was a loving and dedicated husband who lost his wife two years ago and has missed her everyday since. Alvie had been a lifetime member at Rocky Hill Church of God. He was a farmer for many years and loved to sell sweet potatoes. When Mr. Alvie was not working on the farm, he was driving a school bus, which he drove for over fifty years. He is loved by so many and will be dearly missed.

Mr. Alvie is survived by a host of nieces and nephews and many close friends.

Mr. Alvie Barber is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Carolyn Barber; infant twin daughters, Linda and Brenda; parents, Ed & Vera Barber; two brothers, Maury Barber and Randolph Barber and four sisters, Ruth Cleveland, Lois Griffis, Mavis Watkins and Genett Daugherty.
