Obituary

UNION: Services for Mr. Alton Foreman will be held 11 am, Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Hopewell Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Bro. Andrew Black will officiate.

Visitation will be held 5-8 pm, Wednesday at Milling Funeral Home of Union and also one hour prior to service at Hopewell Baptist Church on Thursday.

Mr. Foreman, 87, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, November 27, 2022.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Little Rock where he was also a member of the church's brotherhood ministry.

Mr. Foreman retired from the Army after 27 years of service. He retired from East Central Community College after 29 years of service.

Survivors:

4 Sons: Dewayne Foreman (Barbara) of Little Rock, David Foreman (Sarah) of Lucedale, Artie Foreman (Pam) of Little Rock and Adam Foreman (Dana) of Meridian

5 Great Grandchildren

12 Step Great Grandchildren

Sister: Joyce Ivy

Sister in law: Gatha Foreman

He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Foreman was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Foreman; parents, Johnnie and Emma Foreman; brother, Johnnie D. Foreman; brother in law, JR Ivy and nephews, Jeff Foreman and Randy Ivy.

Pallbearers: Sean Mowdy, Peyton Foreman, Chris Ryals, Ricky Ivy, Eric Brewer, Mark Mahan, Jamie Williamson and Eric Wright

Honorary Pallbearers: Brotherhood of Hopewell Baptist Church, Doyle White and Michael Holyfield
